The Process

This project is broken down into different phases. Phase 1, looking at working on the essential pages, such as the Product Display page, Collection page, Site Menu, Bespoke Rewards page and finally the homepage.

Firstly I conducted market leader research within sports, looking at brands such as Nike, Gym Shark, Adidas and more, to understand user journeys and navigation as a way to keep consistency that customers would already be familiar with. Then i moved onto competitor market research where the main goal was to create differentiation to ultimately be the market leading with the niche sector.

Each page consists of a thought out design system containing a range of typography hierarchy, colour palette, icons and elements in various states. Introducing the design system early on allowed me to repurpose components across the various pages to maintain consistent structure.

Positive SEO is crucial for ensuring a high ranking from google, however keeping customers at the forefront and not bombarding them with blocks of text can be challenging. Strategically breaking the copy into digestible blocks through the page or having the option to reveal text works in favour for the customer, Google and The One glove.

Finally, once designs had been completed. I was set to create a handover doc to help with assistance for the developers that would be implementing all the changes on site.
